Cheer significa aplaudir o aclamar. La expresión “cheer up” se usa para animar a alguien que está triste. Se traduce como “animarse”.

Jemaine: Cheer up Bret, let’s bake a cake!

(Bret tiene un aspecto muy deprimido)

Jemaine: Anímate Bret, vamos a hornear una tarta!
