I’ll make it up to you

El verbo to make tiene infinitos phrasal verbs. “To make up to somebody” significa compensar o devolver el favor.

Cris: How could you do that to me? I stood there waiting for you the whole afternoon.
James: Oh Cris, I’m so sorry I missed our date. Please let me make it up to you! Will you please give me another chance?

Cris: Cómo me has podido hacer esto? Me quedé esperándote toda la tarde.
